Why it's worth checking out

Burleigh Beach Tourist Park offers a practical beachside base in the heart of Burleigh Heads, with accommodation for cabin stays as well as powered sites for caravans, camper trailers, camper vans and tents. Cabin options include two-bedroom deluxe, superior, accessible and standard cabins. Depending on the accommodation, guests can expect features such as air conditioning, a kitchen and barbecue area, and bathroom facilities. The deluxe cabin is arranged over two storeys and includes a private laundry, while the accessible cabin has a ramp to the front door and a fully accessible bathroom. Pets are not permitted, and the park is smoke- and vape-free.

The setting is a major part of the stay. The park places guests close to Burleigh’s surf beaches, well-known breaks and coastal walking routes, with Burleigh Head National Park about 400 metres from the entrance. The headland trails lead through coastal and rainforest scenery towards Tallebudgera Creek, while Burleigh Hill provides broad views of the ocean and skyline, along with picnic facilities, barbecues and a playground. Surfers of different experience levels are catered for by the northern point break and open beaches, and surfboards and beach equipment can be delivered to the park by a local hire provider.

There is plenty within walking distance when you want to leave the park. The James Street precinct, around 500 metres away, offers cafés, eateries, boutique shopping and bars, while the Burleigh Bowls Club and Surf Life Saving Club provide other local options. The park’s own facilities include a camp kitchen, barbecues, accessible and parents’ bathrooms, coin-operated laundry facilities, a recreation room and a small kiosk selling grocery items, toiletries, drinks, lollies and ice creams. Organised activities are offered during selected periods, with details shared through reception and guest notices.

This is a flexible choice for families, couples, groups and independent travellers who want to spend time around the beach and local village precinct rather than rely on a resort-style setup. Families can make use of the nearby playground, creek and national park walks, while campers and caravan travellers have site options alongside cabin accommodation. Guests should note that Wi-Fi is not available at the park, although most areas have mobile coverage and 5G. Check-in is from 11am for sites and 2pm for cabins, with check-out at 10am. Light rail construction nearby may also bring temporary noise or road closures during some stays.

The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.5 from 294 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
