Why it's worth checking out

Charles Holm Park is a riverfront park in Hope Island, Gold Coast, set beside the Coomera River. Its boat ramp is a key feature, with onsite parking that includes bays for vehicles towing boat trailers, making it a practical spot for launching boats and jet skis.

For a relaxed outing, the park has picnic shelters, picnic tables, barbecues, a drinking fountain and a boiling water tap near the boat ramp and car park. A second small shelter and barbecue sit beside the swimming beach, while the large grassy field provides plenty of open space. The park’s looped pathway runs around the entire site and is suited to riding bikes and scooters.

Families can make use of the shade-covered playground, which includes swings and a spinning top, as well as the half-sized basketball court with a single hoop. A designated swimming area is located towards the northern end of the park, approximately 400 metres from the boat ramp. Toilets and accessible facilities are available, including two accessible parking bays opposite the boat ramp and an accessible toilet. Dogs must be kept on a leash unless otherwise signed and are not allowed in children’s playground areas.
