Why it's worth checking out

CrossFit Narlie is a locally owned training facility in Currumbin Waters, serving the Southern Gold Coast with CrossFit, nutrition coaching and personal training. Its approach goes beyond scheduled workouts, combining goal-setting, accountability and guidance around nutrition and recovery. New members can book a free introductory session to tour the gym, meet the coaches and discuss where they are now and what they want to achieve.

The main CrossFit program offers more than 25 classes each week, with sessions running Monday to Friday at 5am, 6am, 9am, 4.30pm and 5.30pm, plus a Saturday 7am class. Each class lasts 60 minutes and includes a shared warm-up, coaching on the day’s movements and form, the workout itself, and a group cool-down. Programming varies between strength, cardio and conditioning, and bodyweight work, with examples including barbell squats, kettlebell swings, rowing, bikes, push-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups. Workouts are scaled to suit different fitness levels, so beginners do not need to arrive already fit or experienced.

For members who prefer a more individual format, personal training provides customised plans and one-to-one coaching. The venue also offers individual nutrition coaching to support eating habits, energy, performance and recovery. Members have access to open gym, subject to conditions, giving them another way to train outside the scheduled classes. The overall setting is described as welcoming and community-focused, with an emphasis on people knowing each other and supporting one another without judgement.

CrossFit Narlie was established by husband-and-wife team Carlie and Nathan, who bring substantial coaching experience and different areas of expertise. Carlie has been in the fitness industry since 2009 and holds CrossFit Level 2, weightlifting, gymnastics, fitness, and pregnancy and postpartum qualifications. Nathan moved from engineering into full-time coaching and holds CrossFit Level 3, fitness, gymnastics and nutrition qualifications, with a focus on movement quality, longevity and sustainable habits. Coach Ella adds a background in the Armed Forces, sport and CrossFit. The gym could suit someone starting from scratch, an experienced athlete, or anyone looking for structured training and a supportive local community.

The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 5.0 from 76 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
