Jabiru Island Park

Jabiru Island Park is a waterfront green space in Hope Island on the Gold Coast, with plenty of facilities for a relaxed day outdoors. Sheltered picnic tables, large shade trees and electric barbecues make it well suited to casual lunches, while modern toilets include equitable access. Water views add to the setting without taking away from the park’s practical, family-friendly layout.

There is plenty to do beyond the picnic area. The park has a fishing platform and jetty, a swimming enclosure and a boat ramp, with an onsite car park that can accommodate vehicles with trailers. Children have a small playground with a climbing structure, slide and spring rocker. Connecting pathways provide access through the park, including a walkway under the bridge to Phil Hill Environmental Park.

For a quieter visit, follow the boardwalks through views of the natural habitat and mangroves, or use the nature trail maps to explore the area on foot. The park suits families, boat users, anglers, walkers and anyone looking for a spot to picnic or unwind beside the water. Accessible parking bays are located near the public toilets, and the park facilities are linked by connecting paths. Dogs must remain on a leash here, as there are no off-leash exercise areas in the park; dogs are also prohibited from the playground and swimming enclosure.
