Main Beach parkrun

Main Beach parkrun is a free weekly 5km community event held every Saturday at 7.00am in Hollindale Park, beside Seaworld Drive in Main Beach, Gold Coast. The format is flexible: participants can walk, jog or run, volunteer, or simply spectate, with no required pace and an emphasis on taking part for enjoyment.

The event starts approximately 300 metres north of Southport SLSC and offers a relaxed way to spend an early Saturday morning outdoors. It suits people who want a regular 5km activity as well as those who prefer a gentler walk or are visiting to support others. The organisers describe it as friendly and community-focused, with participation open to all paces.

First-time visitors need to register before attending and bring a scannable parkrun barcode if they want a recorded result. The event follows a no-barcode, no-result policy. Volunteers organise and deliver Main Beach parkrun each week, and people interested in helping can contact the local team. After the run, participants often meet for coffee at a nearby local café, with Main Beach Pavilion identified as the closest option, about 200 metres south. Results and event reports are published after each event, while the website also provides course information, photos and support for newcomers.
