Why it's worth checking out
Mantra Circle on Cavill is an apartment hotel in the centre of Surfers Paradise, at 9 Ferny Avenue. Its central position puts Surfers Paradise Beach about 750 metres away, with Cavill Mall and the Timezone entertainment centre both around a six-minute walk. That makes it a practical base for guests who want the beach, shopping and the area’s entertainment close by, while HOTA, Home of the Arts, is also within reach at 3.2 kilometres.
The accommodation is arranged in spacious apartments, with one-, two- and three-bedroom options available. Depending on the apartment, guests can have a mountain or ocean view, a balcony and a spa bath, with the largest listed option covering 237 square metres and accommodating up to seven people. The range includes one-bedroom spa and ocean spa apartments, two-bedroom spa and ocean spa apartments, and a three-bedroom spa apartment, giving families and groups more room than a standard hotel room. The property is entirely non-smoking and provides air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
Facilities are a major part of the stay. There are two lagoon-style pools, an indoor heated pool and a spa, along with a fully equipped gym, sauna and steam room. Guests can also book the 12-seat theatrette for a private movie night, use the recreation areas and garden roof terraces, or arrange tours through the complimentary tour booking service. Children have access to a games arcade, while the viewing terrace looks over the activity in the Circle on Cavill precinct. On-site car parking is available, and pets are not permitted.
The apartments and resort-style amenities suit families, couples travelling with extra space in mind, solo visitors who want a central Gold Coast base, and groups sharing a larger apartment. The nearby beach and retail precinct make it easy to keep plans simple, while the pools, gym and wellness facilities offer options for quieter time at the property. Guests should note that the hotel is currently modernising its lifts, with one elevator per rise out of service during the works, which may affect lift availability. Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10am.
