Why it's worth checking out
Milk & Marble Rolled Ice Cream Co. brings a small slice of Bali-inspired dessert theatre to Broadbeach. The concept began after the owners’ three daughters discovered rolled ice cream on a family trip to Bali. Back in Queensland, the family could not find anything similar, so they created their own version for the local community. The result is a dessert stop centred on fresh, handmade treats and the visual process of turning liquid cream into rolls on a cold plate.
The menu combines familiar flavours with more playful combinations. Classics include Banana Nutella, Cookies & Cream, Strawberry Dream, Rainbow Party and Salted Caramel, while the Signature Stacks are listed at $14 and include Biscoff Crunch, Choc Brownie Overload, Espresso Crunch, Mango Passionfruit and Peanut Butter Bliss. The range covers rich, sweet and fruity profiles, with options such as mango and passionfruit for something more refreshing, or espresso and brownie for a more indulgent choice. Rainbow Party is specifically described as suitable for kids and big kids alike.
The experience is as much about watching the preparation as eating the finished dessert. Milk & Marble’s story focuses on the hypnotic marble effect created as the cream is worked across the cold plate, giving the visit a hands-on sense of theatre without needing an elaborate setting. Its Broadbeach location is in the outdoor mall at Nicon Plaza, near Oasis Coffee Shop and Oasis Dental, and around 100 metres from the beach. That makes it a convenient stop while exploring the centre or heading to and from the foreshore.
With its family origin, colourful choices and emphasis on sharing, Milk & Marble suits families, groups and anyone keen to try a different style of ice cream in Broadbeach. The menu also has enough variety for a solo dessert run, whether you prefer a familiar classic or want to try one of the more distinctive combinations. For a venue built around fresh preparation and a visible rolling process, the appeal is in slowing down, watching the dessert take shape and enjoying it straight from the cold plate.
