Reg Chesters Park is a quiet green space along North Burleigh Beach in Burleigh Heads, set between Rotary Park and Ed Hardy Park. Stretching from Fourth Avenue to Sixth Avenue, it has plenty of trees and open grass, making it suitable for relaxing, walking and spending time outdoors near the coast.
Families are well catered for with a fully fenced, sand-based playground and a rubber soft-fall path. Play equipment includes a five-person swing set, spring rockers and a climbing structure with nets, alongside beach-themed features such as a mini dune buggy, giant thongs, oversized sunglasses and colourful surfboards.
The park also has a sheltered picnic area with barbecues and hot water facilities, as well as picnic tables, a drinking fountain, water tap and fitness station. Beach access leads to the patrolled swimming and surf area at North Burleigh Beach, with outdoor showers along the Oceanway for rinsing off afterwards. Accessible toilet facilities are located opposite Fourth Avenue, and on-street parking is available along The Esplanade. Dogs must be kept on a leash unless signage states otherwise and are not permitted in children's playground areas.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.6 from 50 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
