Why it's worth checking out
Ronnie Long Park is a practical beachfront park in Palm Beach, located beside the Tallebudgera Surf Life Saving Club. Its beach-themed playground has two play structures side by side, with equipment suited to different ages and imaginative play that lets children take on a surf lifesaver role.
Beyond the playground, the park has fitness stations, picnic tables, a barbecue near the surf club and a generous open area for picnics or kicking a ball. Walkers and joggers use the park and the esplanade, while pathways connect through to the beachfront boardwalk and Tallebudgera Recreation Centre. Car parking, toilets, a drinking fountain and disability-accessible paths are available onsite.
It suits families looking for a play stop, as well as locals wanting a place to exercise, walk or spend time outdoors. Tallebudgera Dog Beach is next to the park and provides an off-leash exercise area, although dogs must be kept on a lead within Ronnie Long Park and are not allowed in the children’s playground areas. With its open space, beach access and mix of play and fitness facilities, it is a useful base for a relaxed outing around Tallebudgera Creek and Palm Beach.
