Roosevelt Lounge

Roosevelt Lounge is a cocktail bar in Broadbeach that draws on the glamour of the 1920s, with an intimate, opulent setting designed for late-night drinks and special occasions. Its focus is on theatrical cocktails, including molecular techniques, alongside French Champagne and a whisky menu. Live music is part of the experience, with the venue also listing events such as live DJ and saxophone performances.

The drinks-led offering is supported by a substantial food menu of shareable dishes and more filling options. Highlights include salmon ceviche with tomato, cucumber, pickled onion, herbs, chilli and lime; Moreton Bay bug rolls; Queensland tiger prawns; and a 300g Black Angus sirloin served with Japanese barbecue sauce. There are also tacos, flatbreads, sliders and vegetarian choices such as haloumi fries and truffle fries. For something sweet, the menu includes churros with cinnamon and Nutella, plus a Mars Bar cheesecake.

The lounge is at 75 Surf Parade and trades on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with service listed until late and a licence to 1am. A smart-formal dress code applies: thongs, singlets, shorts and hats are not permitted, along with visible face or neck tattoos. That makes it a better fit for dressed-up dates, celebrations, drinks with friends or a polished night out than for a casual family meal. Solo visitors who enjoy cocktails and live entertainment may also find the bar a comfortable place to settle in.

Roosevelt Lounge is part of the Gold Coast-based Gennari Group, which opened the venue in 2017 alongside The Loose Moose in Broadbeach. The group also operates several other local venues, including Koi, Glass Dining, Maggie Choo, La Luna Dining and La Luna Beach Club. For private occasions, the lounge caters for groups from 10 to 80 guests, with options for business gatherings, birthdays and other celebrations. Smaller bookings of up to nine people can be made through the standard table-booking option.
