Rotary Park sits along the Burleigh Heads foreshore between Justins Park and Reg Chesters Park, stretching from Second Avenue to Fourth Avenue. Its Oceanway setting provides several access points to Burleigh Beach, making it a practical base for a beach visit or a walk along the sand.
The park has modern barbecue and picnic facilities, including picnic tables and shelters, as well as outdoor showers and fitness stations spread along the Oceanway. Large trees shade the playground equipment, which includes a see-saw, spinners, a rock-climbing structure and a plastic nest swing. The play area has a mix of sand and rubber soft fall underfoot, although there are no shade sails. These features make the park well suited to families, casual picnics, children’s play and outdoor exercise.
Toilets with disability access are located opposite Second Avenue, with onsite and street parking available along The Esplanade. Beach access points add flexibility for visitors who want to combine time in the park with the shoreline. Dogs must be kept on a leash unless signage states otherwise, and they are not permitted in children’s playground areas. With its combination of open parkland, shaded equipment and coastal access, Rotary Park is a useful spot for families, walkers and groups meeting for a barbecue or picnic in Burleigh Heads.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.6 from 149 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
