Rudd Park is a green, open space in Burleigh Heads, around 150 metres from the shoreline. Its grassy parkland and established trees give it a quieter feel than the busier parts of the beachfront, making it suited to a relaxed picnic, a casual gathering or some time outdoors on your own.
The park’s main feature is its outdoor fitness station, fitted with calisthenics equipment for strength and functional training. The setup includes monkey bars, pull-up bars, parallel bars, push-up bars and ab benches, giving visitors several ways to exercise in the open air without needing an indoor gym.
For longer visits, Rudd Park has picnic tables and a barbecue with hot water facilities, supporting an easy barbecue lunch or dinner with family and friends. It is a practical option for a low-key group outing, particularly if you are looking for open space rather than a busy, highly programmed park. Public toilets are available across the road at John Laws Park.
Dogs must be walked on a leash unless a specific exception applies, and dogs are not allowed in children’s playground areas. The City of Gold Coast also directs visitors to separate off-leash exercise areas, so Rudd Park is best approached as a green picnic and fitness spot rather than a designated off-leash dog area.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.5 from 103 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
