Scoop Gelati

Scoop Gelati is a family-owned gelati bar on James Street in Burleigh Heads, offering small-batch gelati and sorbet made on site each day. The range is built around fresh ingredients, with both local and imported produce used across an extensive collection of more than 300 recipes. Around 24 flavours are displayed at a time, with the selection changing as seasonal ingredients become available, so there is usually something different to try on a return visit.

The cabinet includes gelati and sorbet in cups or cones, while the photo gallery shows examples such as Ferrero Rocher and Snickers gelati, Swiss chocolate, apple crumble, chocolate brownie, and sorbets made with blood orange, lemon, salted lime and basil, and pink pitaya and mango. These examples are not a fixed menu, but they give a sense of the range, from rich chocolate-based flavours to fruit-forward and herb-flecked sorbets. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available.

For a more substantial treat, Scoop Gelati makes gourmet milkshakes and thickshakes using gelato, with the thickshake allowing a choice of four scoops. Takeaway packs are available in half-litre and one-litre sizes, and one-litre orders can include up to three flavours. Delivery is offered through the venue’s online partners, with customers able to nominate a preferred date and time. Waffle cones can be added for serving at home, making the larger tubs practical for sharing or keeping in the freezer.

The venue also caters for celebrations and larger occasions with made-to-order gelati and sorbet cakes, including round, square and heart-shaped formats. Cakes are intended to be ordered in advance, and custom celebration designs can be discussed with the team. There is also a mobile event cart and wholesale service. Located at 23 James Street, next to Fuel and KIVARI, it suits a casual stop for a solo scoop, an easy family outing, or a group looking to share a tub or cake. Parking is available out the front, with the website noting it is free after 5pm.
