The Bathhouse At Ground

The Bathhouse At Ground is a spa experience in the Ground Currumbin setting, listed here for Burleigh Heads and the Gold Coast. Its focus is on soaking, heat therapy and treatments, with mineral-enriched hydrotherapy spas, hot tubs, plunge pools, a traditional cedar hot tub, a therapeutic cold bath, a wood-fired hot stone sauna and an outdoor far-infrared sauna. Guests are asked to bring swimmers, two towels and a water bottle, with hydration encouraged before, during and after a visit.

The setting is a major part of the experience. The bathhouse sits among remnant rainforest, in front of a restored 100-year-old farmhouse and beneath a large fig tree. Bathing sessions include access to three hot tubs, two plunge pools and the wood-fired sauna in this lush outdoor environment. For something more structured, Bathe & Bliss combines the bathing facilities with sound healing using singing bowls, gongs and other vibrational sounds, while Stretch and Soak pairs an all-levels, yoga-based stretching class at The Glasshouse with a group soak.

Treatments cover massage, facials and infrared sauna sessions. Options include relaxation, deep tissue and pregnancy massages, along with relaxing facials and Cannabella Bliss, a head, hand, foot and face treatment. The Ultimate Relaxation combines an hour in the bathhouse with a 50-minute relaxation massage and a 50-minute bespoke organic facial using Mukti and Cannabella products. The Complete also combines a full-body relaxation massage with a mini facial. These packages suit visitors looking to make a longer appointment of their visit rather than booking a soak alone.

The bathhouse is part of Ground, a community hub for Currumbin Valley that also includes a grocer and wellness spaces. Reception is inside the Ground Grocer in the Wellness Centre building, the old Queenslander, and staff guide guests through to the bathhouse or treatment area. It is designed for adults aged 18 and over, with two people aged 16 or over permitted when accompanied by an adult. The mix of private treatments, group experiences and solo bathing makes it suitable for individual downtime or a planned wellness outing. Bathhouse sessions run Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 7pm, and cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice.
