Tugun Park

Tugun Park is a family-friendly green space on the southern Gold Coast, with a castle-themed playground designed around imaginative and role-play activities. Children can explore a double medieval tower with a drawbridge, battlements, banners, arrow slits, arches, shields and bridges, alongside a knight and horse feature.

The playground also includes two large tunnel slides, an open slide and a swing set with traditional swings plus a parent-and-child swing. Although the equipment itself is not shaded, the park is described as cool and shady thanks to its large trees. Covered picnic tables, open grassy areas and nearby barbecues make it a practical setting for picnics and birthday parties, while ample parking and toilets add convenience for longer visits.

The playground is not fully enclosed: fencing runs along the car park side, while the other side opens onto grassed areas. Families should also note that dogs must be on a leash unless otherwise stated and are not allowed in children’s playground areas. Other listed facilities include a drinking fountain, water tap and disability toilet. With its distinctive castle play space and picnic facilities, Tugun Park suits families with children, birthday groups and anyone looking for an easy outdoor stop in the Coolangatta and Tugun area.
