Why it's worth checking out

UE Bagels Palm Beach is a café and bagelry built around handmade bagels, coffee and an easygoing coastal setting. The bagels are made from scratch each morning, then boiled and baked for a chewy centre and crisp finish. The menu covers breakfast and lunch, with coffee and tea, as well as options for a quick takeaway, a sit-down meal or a box to share at the office. Seasonal menus, daily bagel flavours and weekly cream cheese flavours keep the offering changing rather than fixed.

The menu includes familiar breakfast combinations alongside more substantial and creative fillings. The Breaky Bagel combines egg, cheese, rocket, chipotle and barbecue sauce with a choice of bacon, avocado or sausage. Other named options include the Italian Cold Cuts Bagel, Brisket Philly Cheese Steak Bagel, Cubano Bagel, Chicken Parmi Bagel and The Lox Bagel. There is also a Vegan Lox, a Garlic Roasted Mushroom Bagel and a Pavlova Bagel, while spreads include cream cheese, vegan cream cheese, jam, Vegemite, peanut butter and more. These choices make the café suitable for a solo breakfast, a relaxed lunch or a catch-up where everyone wants something different.

The Palm Beach store is described as a local stop for morning routines, casual meet-ups and fresh bagels enjoyed in good company. Guests can eat inside or outdoors, and dog-friendly tables are available at each UE Bagels location. The atmosphere is intended to be warm and welcoming, with space to settle in over a meal or coffee as well as the option to grab something and go. That mix should suit locals after a convenient breakfast, friends meeting for a catch-up and families looking for flexible café food.

UE Bagels began with owners Emily and Mitch, whose appreciation for bagels grew while they were living and working in Canada. After returning to Australia during the pandemic, they started Upwey Eats as a food truck, travelling to markets and events and making deliveries. Their first shop opened in Varsity Lakes in November 2022, followed by the Palm Beach store in September 2023 and a Miami location in February 2025. The owners say the team starts making bagels in the early hours, continuing the hands-on approach that began with the food truck. For Palm Beach locals, the result is a dedicated bagel café with a clear origin story and a menu that works across breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks.

The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.7 from 133 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
