Wallace Nicoll Park

Wallace Nicoll Park is a compact coastal park in Palm Beach, Gold Coast, overlooking Currumbin Alley surf beach. It suits a relaxed picnic, a family outing or a quiet break beside the coastline, with sheltered picnic areas, picnic tables and a barbecue with hot-water facilities.

Children have a sand-based playground with spring rockers, swings and a climbing structure with a slide. The park also includes a large bushland conservation area, giving it a more natural feel than a simple playground reserve. Stairs lead up the hill to the Alf and Kathleen Neumann lookout, where you can take in views across Currumbin Alley and the Palm Beach coastline, with a glimpse of Surfers Paradise in the distance.

The surf beach in front of the park is lifeguard patrolled between November and April, and swimming is listed among the activities associated with the park. There are public toilet blocks at both ends, including accessible toilets, while connected pathways lead to the park facilities. Accessible parking is available along Pacific Parade and in the car park opposite the park, off Duringan Street.

Wallace Nicoll Park is best suited to families, picnic groups and visitors wanting a short bushland walk with a coastal lookout. Dogs must be kept on a leash unless otherwise stated and are not permitted in the children’s playground areas.
