Why it's worth checking out
Club Paradise is a broad, entertainment-focused venue in the heart of Surfers Paradise, bringing together dining, live sport, gaming and functions under one roof. Located on Beach Road, a short distance from Cavill Avenue, it has the feel of a contemporary local club while retaining links to its former identity as Diggers & Sports Club. The venue says its community roots remain important, alongside a focus on value, friendly service and a relaxed setting for locals and Gold Coast visitors.
Sport is a major drawcard. More than 20 screens are spread throughout the venue, including a 3.9-metre main screen, with coverage of competitions and events such as the NRL, AFL, UFC, NBA and Premier League. Viewing continues until 2am, making it a practical option for catching a late match or settling in with a group. The atmosphere is centred on big-screen sport rather than a quiet meal, so it will suit supporters meeting friends, casual catch-ups and groups wanting plenty of action around them.
The restaurant focuses on generous portions, classic club-style food and fair pricing in an informal environment. The menu lists steaks, schnitzels, loaded burgers, substantial mains and salads, with daily dining specials and value deals also available. Drinks include beers, cocktails and wine, and the venue combines its restaurant with a local-bar setting. Families, groups and solo diners can choose between having a meal, watching sport or staying for other activities, although the gaming area is restricted to people aged 18 and over.
For those looking for more than dining and sport, Club Paradise says its gaming lounge includes more than 60 machines, along with TAB facilities and Keno terminals. It promotes a comfortable environment and responsible play. The venue also caters for private events, with two function spaces: the Coral Sea Room, an upstairs private room with Surfers Paradise balcony views and capacity for up to 150 guests, and the open-plan Anzac Deck overlooking Cavill Avenue, also accommodating up to 150. Both offer private-bar access, while the Coral Sea Room includes in-house audiovisual facilities. Tailored catering and flexible packages are available for birthdays, engagements, corporate events and other celebrations.
